South Korean cable channel Mnet, which produced the idol survival program “Produce 101,” will be launching a new K-pop group project, the broadcaster announced Tuesday.

Titled “Idol School,” the program will establish an institute to educate future idol singers for 11 weeks.

The top students who pass the graduation examination will make their debut as a female K-pop group.

Unlike “Produce 101,” which featured trainees from different agencies, the new program seeks to find potential among ordinary people.

The program is currently accepting applications from K-pop idol wannabes. It is set to air in July.
