South Korean singer Park Si-hwan updated fans on what was going on in his life with his local and international fans via a live broadcast on Naver’s V app on Thursday evening.

“Hi everyone. I’m in Daejeon right now so that I can perform in an event to commemorate war veterans tomorrow,” said Park, who appeared on camera while lying down in bed.

“And yes, I’m going to be singing -- a children’s song -- at 10 a.m. Friday morning. But I believe it’s not an open event,” he told fans who were inquiring about whether they could possibly attend the concert.

Park also noted that he will soon be heading to Japan to attend a fan meeting on April 1. “The visit was planned so I can meet up with my fans in Japan as well as introduce myself to those who may not know me,” he said.

In response to fans requesting Park to organize a fan meeting in Korea, the singer said he will definitely do so after he releases a new album.

While driving around Daejeon, Park said he visited a hot spring with a free foot bath area. “I highly recommend you guys to visit this place and take some time to relax. Despite being an open facility, the bath was not dirty at all.

He continued to answer diverse personal questions from viewers throughout the remainder of the near hourlong broadcast, including inquiries about his favorite K-pop songs.

Park recommended viewers to check out a new album recently released by K-pop boy group Boyfriend and a new song from local hip hop artist Oddity, a close friend of the singer.

“Please note that you could be very shocked by Oddity’s song at first. It’s a song for the strong-minded who are fans of hip hop,” he said.

He also gave good reviews about the new Korean film “Ordinary Person,” while suggesting people should watch the movie when they are not feeling too down as the film touches on dark aspects of society.

Jennie of Blackpink

Jennie of Blackpink held her first ever solo broadcast on Naver’s V app on Thursday evening, chatting with fans in both English and Korean.

“I’ve finally succeeded in hosting a V app broadcast all by myself inside our dance studio,” Jennie said as she turned the camera to diverse corners of the studio.

“Apparently there are so many international fans tuned in to this video,” she said. “So everyone wants to see me speak English. I might as well have an English session today,” the New Zealand native said in English.

Throughout the broadcast, the Blackpink member answered questions from the comment section and offered the latest updates on life, which included plans to release funny pictures of Lisa, who will be celebrating her birthday next week.

Jennie also asked fans to check out her new photoshoot album “Dazed.” “It was my first time partaking in a photoshoot by myself, so it was kind of hectic. I really missed the other Blackpink members, but they all cheered me on so it was great,” she said.

Jennie also cleared up questions about a picture of herself in short hair that she had recently shared on social media. The selfie was snapped while wearing a wig found during a former photoshoot, she explained, adding that she had no plans to cut her hair in the near future.

Red Velvet

Red Velvet released a 30-second music video trailer of its upcoming song “Would U.” The song will be released at noon on Mar. 31 via SM Entertainment’s new music unveiling channel “Station.”

“Would U” is the second song being released on “Station,” following the successful unveiling of Taeyeon’s “Rain” last month, according to SM Entertainment.

According to the short clip, “Would U” appears to be a calm, jazz-infused love song about being drawn to the eyes of a person you love as well as feeling jittery about the thought of meeting ones lover.

In the trailer, Irene, who is wearing a white dress, walks around a tropical forest filled with flowers. A man also seems to be roaming inside the forest with Irene.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit www.vlive.tv.
