Wonjun of K-pop group Boys Republic showed off his cooking skills during the fourth episode of “What to Eat Today,” a live cooking broadcast regularly aired via Naver’s V app.

“Today, we’re going to make some ‘warm’ food that reflects our desire to travel to somewhere tropical to take a rest in this cold weather ? ‘Hawaiian fried rice,’” said Wonjun, standing in front of a stove.

“Essentially, I'll be making fried rice that has a tropical feel so that it can remind you of warm places like Cebu and Boracay. We’ll including slices of pineapple, paprika, spicy peppers, ham and mushrooms,” he said.

Before starting, Wonjun highlighted that he’s not a good cook. “I’m simply doing this broadcast so that people can see that even someone like me can cook and feel encouraged,” he said.

The Boys Republic member began his cooking session by chopping up some yellow paprika, white mushrooms and ham to be stir-fried. He also scooped out the contents of a whole pineapple that was cut in half.

“I’m not a professional chef or anything. I cook for fun. So basically any food is great as long as it’s tasty,” Wonjun said.

He stir-fried all the ingredients including various types of vegetables and rice. The fried rice was later poured into the hollowed-out pineapple. The dish was accompanied by a bowl of spicy ramen noodles as well.

Wonjun wrapped up the broadcast by trying out all the food he had cooked and giving a detailed review of its taste and quality for all his fans tuned in to the broadcast.

EXID’s Junghwa and Hani

Junghwa and Hani of K-pop girl group EXID greeted fans via Naver’s V app before taking the stage to partake in this year’s Korea Cable TV Awards ceremony in Seoul on Friday evening.

Hani was set to host the event together with comedian Seo Kyung-seok, while Junghwa was slated to announce the recipients of an award. The award ceremony will air on March 17 via multiple cable channels operated by MBC.

“Hi everyone. We’re backstage right now, to take part in the 2017 Korea Cable TV Awards,” said Junghwa. “Since we’re dressed in all-white outfits, we’ve put some halo (effects) over our heads.”

Hani went on to share her thoughts about the event’s rehearsal held earlier in the day. “During the rehearsal, I practiced hosting with Seo Kyung-seok for the first time. And it was really great. I've found that we share a similar sense of humor,” she said.

Junghwa’s outfit was also a topic of the night’s broadcast, as she had worn a long, white evening dress for the first time at a public event, Hani said.

“Our clothing stylist told me I should act gracefully while wearing this dress. But I don’t know if I’ve been doing that well,” Junghwa said.

The two EXID members discussed the whereabouts of the remaining members of the girl group. LE was currently shopping whereas Hyerin and Solji were playing a new console game with hundreds of options, they said.

Junghwa and Hani wrapped up the live broadcast by asking fans to watch the award ceremony when it airs Friday.

Gugudan

“As you can see, this is where we’re conducting our photo shoot for our album cover, said Hyeyeon, alongside Hana who was holding the camera.

Other Gugudan members including Nayoung and Sejeong were seen striking poses against a colorful backdrop while multiple cameras snapped away.

Mimi, who appeared to be napping on a couch, surprised other members by suddenly waking up and greeting fans. Sally also greeted fans in Korean, with the help of Sejeong.

The group wrapped up the evening broadcast by asking fans to check out its new album and to stay updated about the latest news from Gugudan.
