Taeyeon of Girls’ Generation shared about the effort that went into the release of her latest album “My Voice” via the Naver V app Thursday.

The artist broadcast “Taeyeon’s live,” lying down on a bed.

“I prepared for the album for over one year,” Taeyeon said. “‘Fine’ is the song that I received the last so it felt more fresh for me.”

Taeyeon talked about an incident that happened on the day of recording “Fine.”

“I decided to get an IV shot while recording,” the artist said. “It wasn’t that I wasn’t feeling well at that moment, I just wanted to recharge myself.”

She also talked about what other Girls’ Generation members said about her latest solo album.

“They complimented me for showing a new side of myself through the teaser images of the album,” Taeyeon said. “The members cheered me on a lot.”

She released her first studio album “My Voice” on Tuesday via online music streaming sites. The artist also unveiled a music video for the 13-track album’s lead track “Fine.”

The album has swept both domestic and international music charts, since its release. The lead track “Fine” shot straight to the top spot on the nation’s music charts for four consecutive days.

GFriend

GFriend on Thursday released a video featuring the highlights of its fourth mini album “The Awakening” via the Naver V app.

Six songs, including the group’s main track “Fingertip,” were introduced in the two-minute video.

“The Awakening” will be the group’s first release in eight months, following its full-length album “LOL,” which was released in July.

Its tracks will span various genres, including deep-house rhythm and funky disco.

“Fingertip” is slated to be released via online music streaming sites on March 6 at noon.

Jinho said, “I passed the first round of examinations on the first attempt.”

Yan-an, the Chinese member at the boy group said, “I received 19 points at the mock examination. It’s so difficult.”

He added, “I do driving practice until 5 a.m. through a driving game.”

Other Pentagon members are also preparing to get their driver’s license.

Edawn and Yeoon appeared Tuesday and pledged that if they do not pass the first round of examinations for a level 2 license, they will drink spicy soup and dress ridiculously in public.

Jinho and Yan-an also made pledges to viewers.

Jinho told Yan-an to buy him a hamburger if he fails to pass the exam.

Yan-an responded, “It’s too weak! I’ll buy you a refrigerator instead and pay for taxi bills.”

He added, “If I get the license on the first attempt, you need to drink spicy soup instead.”
