“There seems to be a misunderstanding regarding the fire at my hotel in Taiwan,” he wrote.

According to K-pop star, he was in a meeting with his manager and staff to prepare for the concert and missed the right timing to evacuate. Then he heard that the fire was extinguished so he decided to stay in his room not to inhale the smoke.

“If it is anyone’s fault, it should be mine who stayed in the room thinking that it is not a big deal,” he said. “I don’t want any controversy after the good concert.”

His agency S.M. Entertainment confirmed on Saturday that there was a fire at the hotel in Taipei where Kyuhyun was staying for his concert. The singer and all other staff are safe.

Some fans argued that some of the staff evacuated leaving Kyuhyun alone in the hotel and blamed the staff for neglecting their duty to keep the singer safe.
