S.M. Entertainment said Monday that Wendy of Red Velvet sang for the Disney’s television animation “Elena of Avalor.”

The new song “My Time” is the signature tune for the animation’s protagonist Princess Elena, which was originally sung by American actress Aimee Carrero.

Disney Korea released a music video of the song which features scenes from Wendy’s recording cross-edited with the scenes from the animation, on its YouTube channel.


“Elena of Avalor” centers on the brave princess Elena who saves the fairytale kingdom Avalor and learns to rule as the crown princess of the kingdom.

The first episode of the animation is set for Mar. 6.
