Director Hong Sang-soo and actress Kim Min-hee will make their first public appearance together after rumors that they had an affair.

Hong’s film production company Jeonwonsa Film said on Wednesday that Hong and Kim will attend the 67th Berlin Film Festival. Hong’s upcoming film “On the Beach at Night Alone” starring Kim was invited to compete at the festival.

The film centers on an affair between a married director and an actress, which led to speculation that it is a reference to the relationship between Hong and Kim.

Though he was separated with his wife, Hong was legally married when he was reported to be having an affair with Kim in June 2016. In November 2016, Hong filed for divorce.

While neither side has denied nor confirmed their relationship, a local newspaper on Tuesday reported that two have held a secret wedding.
