Jung Chae-yeon of DIA and I.O.I said she had never been told she was pretty until she appeared on Mnet’s survival audition program “Produce 101,” in an interview with fashion magazine The Star, released Sunday.

The 19-year-old singer has been praised for her appearance, even earning the nickname “Noryangjin’s nuclear (powerful) beauty.”

She said even those at her agency had never complimented her on her looks.

Jung will be returning to DIA, as I.O.I will soon disband. She had become a member of the latter after emerging as one of the winners on “Produce 101.”

“I feel sorry that it (I.O.I) will end soon. I believe everyone will do well even after I.O.I’s disbandment,” added Jung.
