Korea Virtual Reality tour with Twice is available from Monday, the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning said Sunday.

The “GiGA VR Zone (literal translation)” provides three Korean tourism services under the theme of touring Korea with Korean idols Twice.

Visitors can experience “VR Rolling Sky,” “VR Dream Walks,” and “VR K-Spot Tour.”

An official from KT said, “We will do our best to provide a unique VR experience service to customers.”

“VR Rolling Sky” takes people on a virtual tour of Seoul and PyeongChang attractions through a VR tour video while listening to Twice’s songs.

“VR Dream Walks” is a service in which visitors can take a virtual walk around Myeongdong Cathedral in Seoul by actually walking on a treadmill while putting on a head-mounted display (HMD).

Visitors can wear the Gear VR Headset to tour attractions such as Seongsan Ilchulbong, which is also known as the “Sunrise Peak” and Haeundae Beach in Busan, while holding hands with members of the girl group on the “VR K-Spot Tour.”

The services are available at two places in Seoul -- KT Square in Gwanghwamun and K-Live in Dongdaemun.

“‘VR converged with Tourism Experience Service Platform’ experience centers will be also opened in two theme parks, Jeju Play K-Pop and Seoul MBC World in February,” the Ministry said.
