S.M. Entertainment said Thursday that the talks regarding f(x) member Krystal’s solo debut were mere rumors.

The agency denied that anything was confirmed for the 22-year-old’s solo album.

A day earlier, a local tabloid had quoted a person with insider knowledge saying that Krystal was going to release a mini-album in February.

Had this been true, it would have been the singer’s first solo work in 8 years since her debut.

Amber and Luna, two other members from the quartet f(x), have each produced solo albums.

Krystal is known for being the younger sister of former Girls‘ Generation member, Jessica.

S.M. recently announced that Seohyun of Girls’ Generation will release a solo album in January.
