Actor Joo Won bade farewell to 2016 while heralding his new drama due to air in May 2017, in a live show through Naver V app Tuesday.

Clad in Korean traditional outfits, Joo said he was shooting posters for the upcoming drama series “My Sassy Girl,” the small screen adoption of the eponymous 2001 rom-com film. Joo was the last to leave the photo shoot which he expected would run until 11 p.pm.

He added that he spent the Christmas holiday with his family. After the photo shoot for the posters, he said he plans to move across the nation to shoot the series.

As a former cast member of “2 Days & 1 Night,” joo said he sent a congratulatory message to Kim Jong-min, his old co-star, who won the grand award at the KBS Entertainment Awards.


Throughout the show, he sent greetings to fans from various countries, including the Philippines and Thailand.

“My Sassy Girl” stars Joo and Oh Yeon-seo. The drama is set to air in May on SBS every Monday and Tuesday.

Rapper Kisum kicked off a surprise live broadcast through Naver V app with fans on Tuesday at night, showing viewers a sign she received from fans.

The sign read, “Jo Hye-ryung, I love you. Thank you for singing,” referring to the real name of the rapper.

Kisum thanked her fans for waiting until the dead of the night, when her schedule was finished.

“I should repay the love from fans by putting more effort in my music,” said the 22-year-old. “I will make you happy. I promise.”

Tuesday marked her third anniversary since she debuted.

Singer-songwriter John Park covered the popular Christmas carol “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” originally by pop diva Mariah Carey, in a clip released through his Naver V app account.

In the 90-minute clip released Tuesday, Park sang his own interpretation of the song, along with an acoustic guitarist playing the background.

The performance by the Korean-American did not appear to have taken place onstage.
