The MBC Entertainment Awards ceremony will take place Thursday and a lot of attention is being paid to who will take its top honor this year.

MBC announced four strong candidates for its Grand Prize on Monday: Kim Gu-ra, Kim Sung-joo, Yoo Jae-seok, and Jeong Jun-ha.
All four candidates have had a busy year. Kim Gu-ra has participated in various shows including “Radio Star,” “King of Mask Singer” and “My Little Television,” while many attribute the success of the show “King of Mask Singer” to Kim Sung-joo.

Meanwhile, Yoo and Jeong have been part of “Infinite Challenge,” one of the most prominent TV shows in Korea, for a long time. Many argue that 2016 was “the year of Jeong Jun-ha,” praising his efforts in carrying out various missions throughout the show.
Viewers of “Infinite challenge” had been particularly moved by his hard work during the show’s special episodes in America.

However, Yoo did not receive the Grand Prize at the awards ceremony of another broadcast network, which was a surprise to many and led to speculations that he might receive one from MBC.

Competition for MBC Entertainment Awards’ Grand Prize seems fierce this year, with Kim Sung-joo and Kim Gu-ra also standing good chances of winning.
