Actor Kwon Sang-soo met his fans in Japan over Christmas, a Seoul-based PR company said Monday.

YTree Company said the actor threw a meet-and-greet event in Osaka on Thursday and in Tokyo on Saturday, Christmas Eve.

Dressed in a Santa Claus costume, the actor talked with and sang for the 5,600 fans in attendance.

Previously he held a similar event called "Kwon Sang Woo The Stage 2016" in Nagoya, Tokyo, and Kobe in summer.

He rose to stardom in Japan in the mid-2000s in TV series such as "Stairway to Heaven." (Yonhap)
