Actor Kim Woo-bin said his role as a terminally ill celebrity in “Uncontrollably Fond” made him rethink the value of life.

The 27-year-old star met reporters at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, Monday.

While discussing his upcoming movie “Master,” Kim shared a little about his memorable experience with the latest TV show he was in.

“It’s true we had high expectations for the show. Because it was 100 percent pre-shot and made, many anticipated it to rival ‘Descendants of the Sun.’ That came as a bit of a burden in the beginning, but filming for the show was great and very enjoyable.”

“I met many new fans through ‘Uncontrollably Fond.’ I count it as one of the three best shows I was in. It’s that dear to me.”

Kim acted supporting roles in dramas “The Heirs,” “A Gentleman‘s Dignity,” and more in the past.

He was also the lead star in the movie “Twenty” which was released in North American theaters.

Regarding “Uncontrollably Fond,” Kim said, “I lived as Shin Joon-young (the main character) for almost a year shooting for the show. I spent that one year really believing that I was terminally ill. It was a time I had profound thoughts about what life is.”

“I realized I had been negligent and ungrateful about my health. There are people who are struggling for their life even as we speak. Without ‘Uncontrollably Fond,’ I would not have been able to feel so thankful for what I have.”

Kim’s next work following “Uncontrollably Fond” is the film “Master,” slated for release Wednesday. The model-turned-actor is featured alongside acting heavyweights Lee Byung-hun and Kang Dong-won in the film.
