BTS member Jungkook aired an unannounced V broadcast on Tuesday from his hotel room in Tokyo. BTS is holding a fan event there.

“I saw Rap Monster do a casual broadcast yesterday to connect with fans and it looked nice,” Jungkook said, giving his reason for the sudden V broadcast.

“Since debuting, I have been most happy when I meet my fans. So I wanted to do that over V too,” he said.

“I don’t have any special themes for today, but since it’s no fun for you to just hear me talk, I brought some food to eat in front of you,” said Jungkook, grabbing some Japanese instant noodles, a package lunch and snacks.

While waiting for the water to boil for the noodles, Jungkook talked about his personal concerns and interests.

“I always question if I’m doing things right. I don’t have so many celebrity friends or anyone who is the same age as me. So I always wonder if I’m on the right path,” Jungkook said.

Jungkook, born in 1997, is the youngest member of BTS. He chose not to take this year’s national scholastic exam which is necessary for college entrance here, as he decided his career is more important than extending his studies.

Noticing some international fans leaving comments in their native tongues, Jungkook said he plans to study foreign languages.

“In a year’s time from today, I want to have become somewhat proficient in English and Japanese. I want to learn Chinese too, but I can’t multitask.”

Jungkook said he has taken up serious bowling. “My only hobbies used to be playing computer games and listening to music, but now I have bowling too,” he said.

“Would you like me to try out for pro bowling?” Jungkook asked the fans for their advice.

“I’m convincing GOT7’s Yugyeom to join me. We’re pretty tight,” Jungkook said. Yugyeom is “donggap” with Jungkook, meaning they were born in the same year.

Hallyu star Kim Soo-hyun and Lee Hong-ki tried and failed to qualify as professional bowlers in October.

Jungkook’s video garnered over 39 million hearts as of 9 a.m. the next day.

B1A4

Five-member group B1A4 held a showcase Monday for its newly released album, “Good Timing.” The highlight clip from the event was shown on V app the same day.

B1A4 members sat around for an interview in front of the fans, where member Sandeul showed an especially endearing side of himself.

Sandeul became visibly sulky when his groupmates Gongchan and Jinyoung excitedly shared with fans about the time just the two of them found time to visit an abalone restaurant in Jeju Island while on a shoot.

Jinyoung, having been on a TV drama called “Agreeably Warm” featuring the island, had explored the Jeju matjips (famous restaurants) for three months. “I know them all like the back of my hand,” he boasted.

Gongchan said Jinyoung and he enjoyed scrumptious food while the rest of the members were busy filming.

To this, the pouty faced Sandeul broke out about how he had known about the restaurant too, and how he had wanted to go with them but was left out.

Fans said his protestations were cute and endearing.

Seven-member group BTOB celebrated member Minhyuk’s 26th birthday on Monday.

The members prepared a special cake with Minhyuk’s face printed in edible ink on top. Across the cake’s white creamy side was written in red, “BTOB’s red man, forever stay sexy.”

The “red man” referred to Minhyuk’s red hair.

BTOB then played games to give away presents to three winners. Minhyuk was automatically included in those who would get gifts.

He chose some small weights, saying he would bring them to Japan with him.

The group’s youngest member Sungjae was unable to join the party due to filming commitments for TV drama “Goblin.”

Sungjae video-called the group and congratulated Minhyuk.
