The clip showed Kim covering “Uphill Road” by Jung In, “It Will Pass” by Kim Bum-soo, and “Sakurairo Maukoro” by Japanese singer Mika Nakashima. While singing the three famous ballads, Kim displayed throaty vibratos, a sharp tone and a breathy voice.

The three songs were sung during his previous year-end concerts.

The clip was released about two weeks before his upcoming year-end concert that will take place in Seoul on Dec. 9-11. The concert is likely to mark the last year-end concert before he enters the military, as he is slated to start his two-year service at police departments in February 2017.
