K-pop stars are finishing off the year with strong rankings on global music charts.

Boy band BTS and rookie girl group Black Pink have ranked among the top 10 on Billboard’s World Albums Chart for the most recent week, dated Dec. 3, with their latest releases.

Since releasing their second full-length album, “Wings,” last month, BTS has garnered wide international attention with the album’s lead track “Blood Sweat & Tears.”

Four-member group Black Pink -- the winner of the Best New Artist Award at this year’s Melon Music Awards and Asia Artist Awards -- has appeared on the chart for the past three weeks with its second EP, “Square Two.”

Additionally, B.A.P, who returned to the spotlight earlier this month with its second studio album “Noir,” also topped the chart for the week dated Nov. 26. The six-member act currently holds the record for having the highest number of chart-topping albums on Billboard among all K-pop groups.

The Billboard World Albums Chart is a weekly compilation of top-selling music albums in and out of the US.
