YG Entertainment‘s super rookie girl group Black Pink released their second EP “Square Two,” along with the music videos for the two title tracks “Playing With Fire” and “Stay,” on Monday.

Unlike their previous tracks, “Stay” showcases a completely new side to the group with Rose showing off her guitar skills. “Stay” is a melodic acoustic pop song with a harmonica accompaniment.

The video for the song garnered over 1.5 million views within 10 hours of being released. The track has managed to rank top three on seven of the eight music charts, except for MelOn where it is ranked 14th.

“Stay” is generally ranked lower than “Playing With Fire” across all music charts, but on the V app, it has managed to accumulate more than double the number of hearts compared to “Playing With Fire.”

After the music video was released, YouTubers flocked to upload their reaction videos. Most of the reactions point out that the song has a completely different vibe to what they were expecting from the girl group.

Some YouTubers praised Black Pink for being able to mix folk and country style music with K-pop, giving it a fresh sound. Some YouTubers expressed that they preferred Black Pink’s up-beat electronic pop songs, but said that they were still thoroughly impressed with the group’s flexibility as artists.
