Actor Kim Soo-hyun and F.T. Island’s Lee Hong-gi passed the first round of qualification to become professional 10-pin bowlers, held Saturday and Sunday.

In the qualification that stretched over two days, Kim scored an average of 214.6 points through 30 bowling games, coming 31st among the total 114 participants.

The minimum score for a pass was an average of 190 points.

Lee scored an average of 191 points, coming in 92nd and barely meeting the requirements.

The second round qualification game, also for two days, is slated for Oct. 29 and 30.

Those who pass the second round will go on to a training camp for three nights and four days in November before the final decision is made on who will make the 22nd batch of professional male bowling players.
