Park Seo-jun is confirmed to play a lead role in a forthcoming movie that revolves around young police cadets investigating a kidnapping, according to his agency Keyeast Thursday.

Park will co-star alongside Kang Ha-neul in the movie, tentatively translated as “Young Policemen.” Both Park and Kang play students in the Korean National Police University, who witness a kidnapping and pursue the perpetrator.

The movie will mark Park’s first time playing a lead role.

The actors will start filming later this year.

Park wrapped up filming for KBS 2TV’s historic TV series “Hwarang: The Beginning” in September. The series looks set to air in December. Kang is currently playing a prince in SBS‘ fantasy-periodic series “Scarlet Heart: Ryeo.”
