Actor Kim Soo-hyun and singer Lee Hong-ki of rock band FT Island will take part in a professional bowling player qualification later this month.

Both Kim and Lee submitted applications for the qualifier that will kick off on Oct. 22, according to a source from the Korea Professional Bowling Association.

Kim’s agency Keyeast revealed that Kim “voluntarily” applied for the competition.

About 10 male and 10 female bowlers will qualify during the competition. The qualified bowlers will be sent to a training camp for four days starting Nov. 14.

This year will mark the 22nd annual male pro-bowler qualification competition in Korea.

Kim and Lee are known to be huge bowling fans. Kim’s highest personal record stands at 250 and his bowling balls are known to weigh between 14 and 15 pounds. Lee has posted Instagram photos of himself while bowling with professionals.

Kim, who shot to fame through hit dramas such as “My Love from the Star” and “Producer,” ended filming for the upcoming Korean movie “Real” in September. It was reported in September that Lee would host the radio show “Kiss the Radio” starting Monday.
