Yoo Ah-in’s fan club “Ainese” donated 6 million won ($5,400) to charity on Thursday, in celebration of the actors 30th birthday.

The Beautiful Foundation, a Seoul-based non-profit organization, said the donation will be used to support college tuition for students of low-income families.

The members of “Ainese” reportedly raised the funds within a year between October 2015 and the end of September 2016.

The fan club credited Yoo for their birthday gift idea, saying Yoo’s social initiatives inspired them to follow suit.

In 2015, Yoo donated 100 million won to the Beautiful Foundation for the welfare of impoverished children. The money came from profits made by his own apparel brand, “Newkidz Nohanfrom.”
