Singer Ailee held a showcase for her fourth EP “A New Empire” on Tuesday at the YES24 MUV Hall in Mapo District, Seoul.

During the showcase, Ailee expressed her joy that she can walk with both legs, but also revealed, “I‘m quite nervous because my leg has always been injured when I promote my albums, but this time it isn’t. I‘m just thinking of it as a new beginning and I will try my best.”

Ailee has gained some notoriety for her leg injuries, from her ankle injury in 2013 to her foot injury in 2015. Due to this, she has a superstitious belief that she not only figuratively but also literally has to ’break a leg‘ for her albums to do well.

Following the release of her fourth EP, Ailee unveiled the music video for her new track “Home” featuring veteran rapper and singer, Yoon Mi-rae, on Wednesday. The song showcases Ailee’s masterful transitions between her powerful vocals.
