SBS’ variety show “Running Man” has been chosen for the Prime Minister’s award, according to a local report Friday.

“Running Man” will be awarded for “promoting Hallyu content and contributing to the development of the tourism industry,” a source was quoted as saying by OSEN. The award ceremony will take place in a hotel in Jongno-gu, Seoul on Tuesday.

Producer Nam Seung-yong will receive the award on behalf of the show’s staff and cast.

“Running Man” started airing in July 2010 and has proved popular at home and abroad.
