Actor Lee Sang-yoon and actress Kim Ha-neul, co-starring in upcoming melodrama series “On the Way to the Airport,” showed anticipation for their work.

In an interview with fashion magazine the Singles, which the two landed on cover of, Lee and Kim talked about taking on their roles on the melodrama series.

Kim’s latest work, “Don’t Forget Me,” was similarly a melodrama flick.

“Melodrama is the genre where deep emotional expressions abound,” said Kim. "Any actor or actress would be eager to show grief, melancholy and delight on set.”

Lee, who garnered attention with melodrama series such as “My Daughter Seo-young,” has taken to changes in the image of a gentleman by acting in TV series “Liar Game” and thriller flick “Insane.” “On the Way to the Airport” marks his return to roles that he “feels comfortable with.”

“No other TV series had a more intriguing storyline than ‘On the Way to the Airport,’” he said.
