The Chuseok holiday special episode of Korean variety show “How to Eat and Live Well” featured 2PM members Wooyoung and Nichkhun.

The episode, which aired Sunday morning, showed Wooyoung and Nichkhun on a trip to Abu Dhabi with the show’s host, actor Kim Su-ro. At the end of the episode, Kim asked the two 2PM members how they felt about celebrating the eighth anniversary since their debut.

“With the passage of time and more rookies debuting, we saw the rookies as challenges,” Wooyoung said. “But being prepared for competition against a flurry of newbies was not the point (of our activities). We should not lose our faith.”

“That’s how we avoided being overly hyped while celebrating eight years,” Wooyoung added.

Nichkhun, a Thai member of the boy band, said that he was motivated by Thai fans’ support.

“As I am from Thailand, I feel a sort of obligation that I am representing Thailand and should not disappoint Thai fans,” he said. “I even sometimes feel pressured.”

2PM debuted as a boy band in 2008 with the single “Put Your Hands Up.” It released its sixth album “Gentlemen’s Game” on Tuesday and is currently promoting its title track “Promise.”
