Taiwanese singer-actress Puff Kuo will replace Korean actress Yoo In-na in the Chinese series “Love Weaves Through A Millennium 2.”

According to reports from multiple Chinese media outlets, Yoo had stepped down from the role when the filming was almost complete. Puff Kuo joined the cast and reshot the scenes featuring Yoo.

Earlier in August, Yoo‘s agency YG Entertainment denied such allegations, but told media that “they were in an irregular situation.”

Such reports in the first week of August came amid escalating diplomatic tension between South Korea and China after Seoul decided to deploy Terminal High Altitude Area Defense in southern Korea, sponsored by the United States.

“Love Weaves Through A Millennium 2” is a remake of Korean fantasy-periodic series “Queen In-hyun’s Man,“ which was aired in 2012. The upcoming Chinese series is set to premiere in China in September.
