Cosmic Girls dropped from space in new music video

The Korean-Chinese girl group, created by Korea’s Starship Entertainment and China’s Yuehua Entertainment, held a showcase for the release of its new album Wednesday in Seoul. The group performed onstage “MoMoMo,” the title track of its 2016 debut EP “Would You Like,” “Secret,” and “Bebe,” another song on the group’s new album.
“We want to show a mysterious and ethereal image with our new song,” said Exy, the group’s leader.
The group which originally started with 12 members returns with a new member -- Yeonjung of the girl group I.O.I, which was created through the music audition show Produce 101.
“Yeonjung’s voice is very clear and makes the album much brighter,” said SeolA, welcoming her new teammate. “We sometimes ask her to sing to us when we’re tired.”
“We’ve been friends since we were trainees,” said Dawon.
The group consists of 10 Korean members ?- SeolA, Bona, Exy, Soobin, Luda, Dawon, Eunseo, Yeoreum, Dayoung and Yeonjung -? and three Chinese members -? Xuan Yi, Mei Qi and Cheng Xiao.
The group’s main vocalist Dawon is currently starring in “Girl Spirit,” a singing competition program featuring girl group members.
The new album consists of seven songs, including “Secret,” a shuffle rhythm-based medium-tempo dance tune about a shy girl in love. The song was produced and arranged by E.One and Sinsadong Tiger.
