Girl group I.O.I clinched the first victory in Korean music programs with its new song “Whatta Man” in Tuesday episode of SBS MTV’s “The Show.”

I.O.I defeated Nine Muses A, subunit of girl group Nine Muses, and Oh My Girl Tuesday.

The victory is the group’s first since its debut with “Dream Girls” in May.

After the announcement, I.O.I subunit’s members bowed to the floor in a show of gratitude to fans on the live show. They released their second single “Whatta Man” on Aug. 9.

I.O.I is currently carrying out seven-member subunit activities, with some members absent due to their activities in their original idol groups.

I.O.I is a project girl group, composed of 11 winners from Mnet’s survival program “Produce 101.” The group will be active for a year.
