TV channel SBS recently released a behind-the-scenes clip of actor Kim Rae-won making a sandwich, as part of filming for the 17th episode of the drama “Doctors.”

Kim grabbed a kitchen knife and started to chop a cucumber and a tomato, which were fillings for the sandwich. He also added some ham, eggs and lettuce.

“I even released a cookbook,” said Kim, referring to the cookbook he released in 2008, featuring his daily meals and useful cooking tips. “I earned some money with it,” he added.

The mischievous actor played a prank on the show’s crew by suddenly yelling in pain while grabbing his finger, pretending to have cut himself with the knife.

Kim later placed his sandwich in a lunchbox. It was to be used as a romantic gift for Dr. Yoo Hye-jung, played by Park Shin-hye, in the drama.

The clip also showed Kim and Yoon Kyun-sang rehearsing for a scene in which Yoon expresses disapproval at Kim’s gift.

The 17th episode of “Doctors” aired on Monday at 10 p.m.

In the series, Kim acts as Dr. Hong Ji-hong who loves Yoo, and Yoon as Jung Yoon-do, who also fancies Yoo.
