If there was a sequel to the hit series “Descendants of the Sun,” actor Jin Goo would be more than happy to be part of its cast again.

Jin played the role of Master Sgt. Seo Dae-young in the drama. He said he would “absolutely” want to act in a sequel to the military-themed series, in an interview with Sports Chosun released Wednesday.

“(The series) was a bonanza to me,” Jin said. “I would absolutely join, no matter whether it ends in success or not. I should reward (fans of the series) for the bonanza I enjoyed.”

The broadcaster of the series, KBS 2TV, had earlier in April said there might possibly be a sequel to the drama which gained worldwide fame.

Jin also revealed that he was “amazed” by his rise in popularity and now receives “much more” offers for acting roles.
