The photo with an achromatic backdrop has a rather ghastly and mysterious vibe.

The members wore white shirts, shoes and wigs, making their red lips the only distinct feature.

An inscrutable message accompanying the image, “WXAXTX X XAN,” triggered online curiosity.

Meanwhile, I.O.I will be releasing its new production on Tuesday.
