Girl group GFriend bagged their 23rd win of the year, topping SBS music program “Inkigayo” on Sunday.

In spite of their absence on the set, GFriend defeated competitors Sistar and the Wonder Girls on the Sunday episode of “Inkigayo.” GFriend had flown to the United States on Friday as part of the lineup for KCON 2016 in Los Angeles.

The Sunday victory marked the eighth win for GFriend’s latest song “Navillera,” the lead track off their first album “LOL.” The band recorded a monumental 15 wins with “Rough,” which was released in February.

The unprecedented 23 wins on Korean music programs is a new record, breaking the long-held mark by girl group Girls’ Generation, which earned 22 wins in 2010.
