U-Kwon from K-pop idol group BlockB, won the crown in the first episode of Mnet’s dance competition show, “Hit the Stage” on Wednesday.

The theme of the dance was “Devils,” with each dancer performing in a devil-inspired costume.

Ten from NCT took to the stage first dressed as an exorcist and gave an exorcism-like performance. Bora from Sistar turned into a witch and performed charismatic choreography using a chair. Momo from Twice became a cold vampire whose powerful, but delicate, dance moves seduced the male audience, and U-Kwon from BlockB won the competition with his flawless performance as the Joker.

The impressed audience poured their reactions out, “I didn‘t know the dancers would be this good,” “You don’t just become dancers,” and “It gave me goosebumps.”

For the next episode Hyoyeon, Taemin, Hoya and Shownu will dance under the same theme and try to snatch U-Kwon’s crown.

Mnet’s “Hit the Stage” is a dance show where K-pop idols and professional dancers form a team and compete under a chosen theme. The show is aired every Wednesday night at 11 p.m.
