Singer Dean was recently featured on the Asian content platform, 88rising, where he was crowned the R&B prince of Asia.

Dean made headlines last year after his musical debut in the United States in July, without a prior career in Korea. He later debuted in Korea in October, and immediately claimed Best R&B and Soul Song at the Korean Music Awards in February.

Outside of Korea, his musical talent has already earned him opportunities to perform at the highly coveted “SXSW” festival twice, as well as a record deal with Universal Music Group.

Dean collaborated with 88rising for a short episode that was released on Monday. The episode simply follows Dean while he sings.

He opens the video with his cover of Zak Abel‘s “Say Sumthin,” followed by a new rendition of his own collaborative track with Anderson Paak, “Put My Hands on You.” He closes with “D (Half Moon)” which originally featured rapper Gaeko.

Dean manages to demonstrate his remarkable singing talent, which serves as testament to the title he has been crowned.
