Song read, “I had a lot of concern as I started out on this Asia tour. I gave a lot of thoughts on whether I am truly worthy of all your love,” then faltered to a near-sob.

“My attitude changed a great deal during the four months I was on this tour,” he continued.

Song’s Asia tour covered 10 cities -- Seoul, Bangkok, Beijing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Chengdu, Taipei and Shanghai.

Tickets for Song’s fan events in China had reportedly been sold for as much as 1.21 million won ($1,060) on the black market, six times the original price.

“It’s very personal and I can’t tell you in every detail, but please know that because of you I was able to change into a person I am more proud of. I am more confident now than before,” Song said.

Song used the opportunity to also express gratitude and love for his parents and mentor who were present in the audience.
