The hallyu star, who has also starred in the hit drama “Boys over Flowers” was sued by his ex-girlfriend in April 2015 for inflicting domestic violence on her and causing the miscarriage of a child fathered by him.

Choi had asked for 1,600 million won ($1,380,000) in compensation. Kim is denying not only having caused the miscarriage but also Choi’s pregnancy in 2014.

He is currently serving in the military but has taken leave to attend the court hearing. The questioning of the former couple on Friday took more than seven hours.

Kim and Choi are slated to have another court hearing on Wednesday.
