The share prices of production firms related to KBS 2TV’s drama series “Uncomfortably Fond” fell Thursday, though the series topped viewership ratings for its first episode aired Wednesday.

Production firm Samhwa Networks’ share price plunged by 6.5 percent, while IHQ, which is coproducing the drama, saw its share price drop by 9.2 percent.

The plunges in share prices likely resulted from investors’ moves to make profits by selling shares as the drama got popular.

“Uncontrollably Fond” is a drama starring actor Kim Woo-bin and actress-singer Bae Suzy.

Its viewership ratings stand at 12.5 percent, while ratings were 7 percent and 6.6 percent respectively for SBS’ drama “Wanted” and MBC’s “Lucky Romance,” according to Nielsen Korea.
