KBS 2TV weekly music program “Music Bank” admitted to mistaking the winner on the latest episode of the show, which aired Friday.

On the May 27 episode of “Music Bank,” AOA placed first on its K-chart, receiving the grand trophy. However, as of Monday morning, the program stated that there had been a mistake during the process of choosing the winner.

“There was an error while one of the staff members was adding the numbers on Microsoft Excel. This is undoubtedly our fault,” said an insider from KBS.

As the real winner turned out to be Twice, with their latest song “Cheer up,” fans are asking for a sincere apology to both sides.

“Music Bank” is expected to readjust its latest K-chart rankings, revealing the updated chart by Monday evening.
