[Review] GOT7 lands ‘Fly in Seoul’ despite JB’s injury
GOT7 faced a misfortune about a couple of days before their first-ever concert in their two-year career as a boy group.
It was announced that member JB will skip the first concert due to a back injury Thursday. Concerns rose as the leader and vocalist’s absence could have been a critical hit. The group’s agency JYP Entertainment vowed fans to offer them full refund.

The group has released some 70 tracks throughout their career, including hit numbers such as “If You Do,” “Just Right” “Stop Stop It” and the newest “Fly.”
The two-day Seoul concert at SK Handball Gymnasium on Friday and Saturday, involved sections where they performed songs composed by subunits, including duet ballad “1:31 a.m.,” pop number “Higher” and dance number “I Love It + WOLO.”
They also collaborated with choreographers, interacted with fans, and premiered songs they had never performed, such as “Back to Me.”

“It’s like a dream come true to us who watched senior boy groups.” Yugyeom and Mark said. “Thanks to fans’ support, we made it.”
The group had won major programs including KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank,” Mnet‘s “M! Countdown,” SBS MTV’s “The Show,” with “Fly,” title track of their latest album “Flight Log: Departure” released on March 21.
It was also their first exclusive concert, which allowed them to divide themselves into two and impersonate girl groups to perform GFriend’s “Me Gustas Tu” and Red Velvet’s “Dumb Dumb.”

“Our next goal is to be a long-running boy group,” Jackson and Yugyeom said.
“We are told GOT7 is improving as time passes,” said Junior, when asked whether their first victory in a music program came later than expected. “I don’t see this as a late win. I would rather say we have improved, compared to our debut stage.”
The band will soon embark on a world tour including China, Japan, Thailand, Singapore and the United States,.

“I was impressed and surprised when fans welcome the band at the airport,” said Junior, a stage name used by Park Jin-young. “This motivates me to learn a foreign language.”
