G.O of three-member boy band MBLAQ will begin military service as a public service personnel Thursday, his agency J. Tune Camp said Tuesday.

“G.O will enter military boot camp on Thursday for four-week basic training and will serve as public service personnel, as an alternative to service as active soldiers,” a source from J. Tune Camp was quoted as saying. G.O was diagnosed with narcolepsy, a sleeping disorder.

G.O’s absence will effectively halt MBLAQ’s activities, according to local reports. MBLAQ has remained a three-member group since Lee Joon and Thunder officially left in December 2014. The remaining members Seungho and Mir are likely to pursue individual activities.

His military service will end on Feb. 17, 2018.
