The six-member Korean group GFriend continued its winning streak by clinching the first place at Mnet’s “M! Countdown” on Thursday.

This came after GFriend claimed victories in Korean cable network SBS MTV’s “The Show” on Tuesday and cable channel MBC Music’s “Show! Champion” on Wednesday.

GFriend’s new song, “Rough,” defeated tough competition, which included “Rain” by Girls’ Generation member Taeyeon, “I Am You and You Are Me” by rapper-producer Zico and “I Miss You” by girl group Mamamoo. On Friday, “Rough” took the top spot in Naver Music Charts, a major local chart in Korea.

The song is from GFriend’s third mini album, “Snowflake”, which was released on Jan. 25.

GFriend’s winning streak is likely to continue in the music programs of network channels, such as KBS2’s “Music Bank” and SBS’s “Inkigayo.”
