Korean actor Park Ki-woong will star in an upcoming MBC TV series after his military conscription ends Friday, his agency Haewadal Entertainment confirmed late Monday.

“Park will be on location immediately after the estimated date of service,” the agency said.

The 30-year-old actor, who has served as an auxiliary police officer since May 2014, will appear as a concubine’s son in a conglomerate family in a TV series called “Monster.”

The appearance will mark a comeback to the small screen after four years’ hiatus, having previously acted as a vengeful Japanese police officer in KBS2’s “Bridal Mask” in 2012.

Actor Kang Ji-hwan costars in the TV series, set to kick off airing its first episode following the finale of “Glamorous Temptation” in March.
