Former KARA member Hur Young-ji burst into tears during the latest episode of SBS entertainment TV show “Finding Genius” on Wednesday. It was her first appearance on TV since KARA’s breakup on Jan. 15.

The 21-year-old who made debut in 2014 as a member of KARA said at first she was “very nervous” about appearing on the show after going solo.

“I am very nervous, but I will get over it.” Hur said. “Please keep your support.”

In the beginning, she showed off her sense of humor, mimicking famous stars’ voices and saying that she dreamed of having at least four children, like actress Kim Ji-sun.

But, when she was sending message to her family members via TV, she burst into tears.

“My father was 39 when I was born. I was raised as the family’s precious child,” Hur said. “I know my parents are worried about my career path. I’m fine. I will do my best. I love you.”

In mid-January, KARA members Goo Ha-ra and Han Seung-yeon left their former agency, DSP Media, while Park Gyu-ri hasn’t signed a new contract.
