Former Kara member Han Seung-yeon joins new agency

Former Kara member Han Seung-yeon signed a new contract Tuesday with talent agency J,Wide Company, house to actor Lee Sang-yoon, Go Joon-hee and Uhm Ji-won.

“We signed an exclusive contract with Han Seung-yeon,” the agency said, further praising Han’s active entertainment career as a singer and an actress, spanning nine years. “We will fully support Han, who has outstanding talent in singing, acting and entertainment, under our company’s management system. We ask for your great interest and expectation for Han.”

Han, 27, made her debut in 2007 as a member of quintet Kara. The girl band enjoyed popularity in Korean and Japan, releasing hit songs such as “Pretty Girl,” “Honey,” “Mister” and “Lupin.” Kara officially disbanded Jan. 15.
