Actor Lee Hyun-woo will be playing a male lead in KBS2 TV’s upcoming youth drama “Moorim (Martial Arts) School.”

The press conference for the TV drama took place Tuesday at 63 Convention Center in Seoul, attended by Lee Hyun-woo, Seo Ye-ji, VIXX member Hongbin and Jung Eugene.

They will play four young martial art apprentices.

Lee Hyun-woo will act as a popular idol leader who suddenly experiences a step-down and ends up having to enroll at Moorim School. Hongbin is Lee Hyun-woo’s trouble-making roommate. Seo Ye-ji, the heroine, is a hard-working girl who takes care of her blind father, and Jung Eugene stars as the daughter of the school’s chancellor.

Lee mentioned the shower scene that was introduced in a teaser video released Tuesday. For the one scene, he built up his body for a month.

“I told the director that I want to be prepared for the very first shower scene in my life,” Lee confessed. “I hope the viewers like it.”

“Moorim School” acknowledges real-life lessons like integrity, survival, sacrifice, decency, communication and relationships, unlike schools in reality that only focus on getting a good job and better qualifications.

“Moorim School” will kick off Jan. 11 on KBS2.
