Kim Soo-hyun’s stepsister to appear on ‘Produce 101’

Kim Joo-na, known as actor Kim Soo-hyun‘s stepsister, will partake in Mnet’s girl group fostering show “Produce 101,” according to anonymous insiders in the entertainment industry Wednesday.

The show aims to pick out 11 members from 101 contestants from 46 different agencies to form a new girl group. With singer and actor Jang Keun-suk being the host, the show is set to hit airwaves from January.

The forthcoming program was initially unveiled by presenting “Pick Me” on Mnet‘s music program “M! Countdown” on Saturday. It revealed the profiles of 59 members via its official website from Dec. 18-21. The information of the rest of the members has not yet been disclosed.

Kim Joo-na gained traction after singing “What Do I Do Without You” for SBS TV drama “Upper Society.”

She is now a trainee at MusicK Entertainment, which is also home to singer Hong Jin-young.
