Big Bang graces 2015: Gallup

Boy band Big Bang nabbed the top spot among singers in the year 2015, according to a survey released Thursday and conducted by research institution Korea Gallup.

The survey was carried out three times in July, September and November, targeting 4,200 people nationwide as well as 1,500 idol group performers.

Big Bang ranked first, accounting for 15.5 percent, followed very closely by IU with 15.4 percent, then Girls Generation at 11.9 percent, trot singer Jang Yoon-jung at 8.9 percent and Sistar with 6.9 percent.

Meanwhile, Big Bang‘s “Bang Bang Bang” was chosen as the song of the year, getting 7.2 percent of response. Oh Seung-keun’s “What‘s Wrong with My Age,” Lim Chang-jung’s “Love Again,” IU‘s “Heart” and EXID’s “Up&Down” fell consecutively in the rankings.
