Yoo Ah-in becomes actor of the year: Gallup

Actor Yoo Ah-in, 29, was named the actor who thrived the most on the big screen this year in a survey conducted by Gallup Korea.

The survey was done from Oct. 29 to Nov. 21, and surveyed 1,700 men and women over the age of 13.

Yoo received 26.9 percent of the votes, followed by Song Kang-ho with 20.3 percent.

Having made his debut in the 2004 KBS TV drama “Sharp” at the age of 18, Yoo has appeared both on TV screens and in movies in a variety of roles over the years.

Of particular note in Yoo’s movie career are “Veteran” and “The Throne,” two of this year’s most successful movies.

Yoo is currently appearing in the TV drama “Six Flying Dragons,” playing the role of Taejong of Joseon, emanating charismatic leadership.
