Jiyul and Kaeun to leave Dal Shabet
Happyface Entertainment said Wednesday that Jiyul and Kaeun will leave girl group Dal Shabet as their contract expires at the end of December.
“After a long discussion, Jiyul and Kaeun are scheduled to move on in the acting and fashion industry, respectively. Hope you root for the two who are about to start a new career, said the agency.

The two celebrity shared a handwritten letter via the group’s official fan club website on the same day, conveying their gratitude along with apologies.
Jiyul wrote, “As an end can work as a new start, I hope you won’t be too upset about my departure since I will appear again in various fields,” and Kaeun wrote, “I’m really sorry to inform this sudden news. I am planning to pursue my career in the area of fashion, in which I had much interest from the past.”
Dal Shabet, which originally debuted as a six-member group in 2011 with album “Supa Dupa Diva,” will be downsized to a quartet consisting of Serri, Ahyoung, Woohee and Subin with a comeback slated for early next year.
